Hello, Wroclaw DevOps community!

We’re excited to present the leaders of the DevOps Tech Family from Vention Poland. In this workshop, our top specialists will share their best practices and wicked sense of humor. We’ll cover a lot of information but we promise to keep the atmosphere light — plus there will be some great reasons to stick around and socialize afterwards!

Please note this event is capped at 15 participants per workshop. Keep an eye out for an email from us to confirm your attendance. But don’t worry — we’re already planning a second round!

Requirements:

Laptop with Linux (preferable: Ubuntu)
Docker and docker-compose installed
Level: Mid+. Basic knowledge of Jenkins and Kubernetes is necessary.

Lectures and speeches

Theoretical Part

Intro: we will explore the use of Kubernetes in CI/CD process implementation with Jenkins as our main tool. Additionally, Docker in Docker technique will be utilized.

Practical part

During the practical session, we will show how easy it can be to create scalable and highly available solutions while implementing best practices. We have prepared a special task for participants where they will create their own Jenkins instances and set up agents in our own Vention setup.

Speakers

Mateusz AdamekHead of DevOps Tech Family, DevOps Team Lead.Mateusz is a big fan of Linux-based systems and Linux-based software — especially Docker and Kubernetes. He has been in the IT sector since the beginning of his career in 2011, and has been involved in the DevOps field since 2016. He has experience in large multinational corporations, including, among others, a global leader in connected car technology. In 2021 he joined Vention as a leader of the DevOps tech family. He’s responsible for building career paths for DevOps employees and ensuring an appropriate level of competence for the company’s specialists in this field.

Adam ChołysDeputy Head of DevOps Tech Family, Senior DevOpsAdam specializes in developing large-scale cloud solutions architecture for business, with particular experience in Microsoft Azure. He has managed end-to-end cloud projects for global technology companies, also taking care to select appropriate security and monitoring systems for the solutions under development. He has a track record of cloud-native implementations, as well as migrations of large, monolithic applications and end-to-end cloud projects for large technology companies.

Filip SadowskiDevOps EngineerFilip has more than five years of experience in the DevOps field. Among other things, he worked for one of the largest consulting companies in the world, mainly in the Finance and Payments sectors. His projects include the migration of a bank to the cloud and the digitization of credit cards in the US. His work focused on implementing CI/CD systems and creating complex solutions using tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
