Now, we’re expanding into San Francisco and hiring a Business Development Director to run West-Coast outbound, grow pipeline, and coach a team of BDMs as we push past $250 M ARR. Lead the strategy, sell hands-on, and turn bold ideas into working software.
- Build and coach a world-class business development team from scratch
- Launch, develop and lead the West Coast GTM strategy — from ICP to outbound execution
- Source and close complex $1M+ ACV deals with high-growth, VC-backed startups
- Partner with marketing to shape campaigns and generate qualified leads
- Represent Vention in the startup and venture ecosystem through events and relationships
- Use AI tooling (n8n, Apollo, etc.) to build a scalable, high-efficiency GTM strategy
- Collaborate with legal, delivery, and talent teams to close well-structured, client-aligned deals
- Report directly to company leadership on pipeline, team health, and GTM performance
- 7+ years of experience in B2B sales or GTM roles, with 3+ in a leadership or strategic ownership position
- Experience in consultative sales
- Proven track record of building and executing sales strategies in fast-growth environments
- Experience closing $1M+ deals and partnering with technical stakeholders and closing complex sales deals
- Deep understanding of software development, product strategy, and engineering orgs
- Passion for building – teams, playbooks, strategies, and trusted client relationships
- Outcome-driven mindset — you prioritize clarity, velocity, and results
- Based in San Francisco and excited about in-person collaboration

Base Salary: $140,000 - $174,000. On Target Earnings: $360,000+ (base + bonuses)
