- Assess database schemas and DDL for gaps and improvements
- Analyze and optimize long-running queries and workloads
- Partner with DBAs to assess Greenplum cluster and tune performance
- Establish governance for SQL code reviews and best practices
- Lead database capacity planning and scalability strategy
- Participate in Data Modeling of a modern centralized Data Models and architecture for datastreaming, ingestion and API scalability
- Support and evaluate the state of ETL/ELT optimization and integration with MPP platforms
- Ensure database design aligns with security, governance, and compliance
- Drive Greenplum to Redshift migration POCs, including performance benchmarking
- Strong expertise in Greenplum performance tuning and MPP optimization
- Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift design and migration
- Proven track record in query optimization and remediation
- Strong SQL, indexing, and schema design skills
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native integrations (e.g., Kafka, S3)
- Knowledge of database monitoring, governance, and compliance best practices
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and integration patterns with Data Warehouses
Nice-to-Have experience with Snowflake, familiarity with Informatica, Glue, modern ETL tools and Batch orchestration, scripting skills (Python/Scala/Java) for automation
