Position Overview
Vention is a global engineering partner to tech leaders and fast-growing startups, combining 20+ years of product development expertise with an AI-first approach and a reputation for reliable delivery.
Now we’re hiring a Head of Account Management to build and lead the function in the U.S. You’ll define the vision, hire and mentor a high-performing team, and shape how we grow long-term value across key accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Hire, lead, and inspire an initial team of 6+ account managers across the US
- Define and build a repeatable account management framework that scales across verticals and client segments
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic clients, acting as a player-coach for your team
- Partner with founders, CTOs, and senior stakeholders to deliver long-term value and impact
- Build and institutionalize account strategies, QBR structures, growth models, and expansion roadmaps
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Delivery, Talent, and Marketing to align on success criteria
- Monitor key account health indicators and surface strategic insights to executive leadership
- Champion client feedback and bring insights into product/service evolution
- Be the cultural and strategic foundation of a team that will shape Vention’s future
What You Bring
- 8+ years in account management, client success, or IT consulting - with 3+ in team leadership
- A proven builder: someone who has created and scaled AM processes, not just inherited them
- Deep understanding of client growth strategy, stakeholder mapping, and value delivery
- Experience in software development services, product consulting, or tech delivery is strongly preferred
- Excellent communicator - able to speak to both founders and engineers with credibility
- Strong leadership and mentoring mindset – you know how to develop talent
- Highly data-literate: you use KPIs, account health signals, and market insights to drive decisions
- Energized by ambiguity, speed, and ownership – this is not a plug-and-play role
- Bonus: You’ve worked across VC-backed startup ecosystems or B2B SaaS/tech firms
Compensation
Base Salary: $175,000. On Target Earnings: $350,000 - $400,000 (base + bonuses)
