What you'll do
- Review existing backend service architecture and lead the design of event-driven solutions across the platform
- Define and track adherence to chosen architectural patterns, working closely with engineering teams to ensure implementation stays aligned with design decisions
- Provide deep technical guidance on Kafka-based event streaming and the AWS stack
- Drive architectural decision-making for backend services, balancing scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Engage actively in Scrum ceremonies, demo sessions, and internal Idea Talks to support cross-functional collaboration
- Perform thorough code and design reviews to maintain architectural consistency and system quality
- Support project estimation, planning, and pre-sales activities with your technical expertise
- Contribute to the team and community through mentoring, technical interviews, or knowledge sharing at internal and external dev2dev and meetup events
What you bring
- Proven experience as an Architect with deep expertise in event-driven solution design for backend services
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Kafka and the AWS stack
- Strong background in reviewing and validating architectural implementations against defined patterns
- Experience on large-scale, distributed systems
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with experience communicating with international clients
- A growth mindset and motivation to stay current with evolving trends in software development
