You'll be joining the team as a key PHP engineer on a large-scale, mission-critical platform that acts as the central adapter between our core system and 30+ external integrations — all built on web scraping technologies. The project is highly complex, feature-rich, and carries significant business logic. Think of it as a massive, multifunctional hub that keeps everything connected and running.
This is a high-impact role: your contributions will be meaningful and visible across the entire PHP codebase. You'll work alongside other engineers and take an active part in architectural decisions and technical direction. At the same time, you'll collaborate closely with a large cross-functional team working in other technologies — so communication and maturity are just as important as technical depth.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build features end-to-end — across backend, frontend, and APIs
- Lead technical design discussions and evaluate architectural tradeoffs
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Work closely with product and design to translate business needs into practical engineering solutions
- Develop and improve web scraping methods across 30+ integrations
- Enable and build upon mission-critical systems within the business
- Take ownership of the PHP codebase and make independent technical decisions
- 4+ years of production experience with PHP
- Experience with PHP 8.x (8.1–8.4)
- Strong experience with modern PHP frameworks: Laravel, Symfony, or Zend/Laminas
- Knowledge of PSRs (PHP Standards Recommendations) and clean code practices
- Deep understanding of API design and concepts (REST, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with modern web infrastructure: caching, serverless, API gateways, etc.
- Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience creating and evaluating technical design documents
- Experience with web scraping technologies
- Basic front-end knowledge (junior level is sufficient — HTML/CSS/JS basics)
- English B2 — you'll communicate daily with an international team
- Willingness to champion team needs and contribute to strategic decisions
