- Learn core JavaScript & TypeScript fundamentals, async programming, and common design patterns
- Build and maintain backend services using Node..js - design RESTful APIs, handle authentication, data validation, error handling, security, and logging
- Develop frontend portions using React components, state management, routing, and integrating with backend APIs
- Use state management libraries (e.g. Redux) to manage shared application state between frontend and backend interactions
- Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) on the backend: design schemas, perform CRUD operations, optimize queries, ensure data integrity
- Write unit tests for both backend and frontend code (for Node.js services and React components) using testing frameworks like Jest; also engage in integration testing to verify full stack flows end‑to‑end
- Use version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and ensure clean, maintainable, well‑documented codebases
- Good grasp of HTML markup and CSS styling
- Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
