• Own and improve relational database environments to ensure performance, scalability and reliability
• Review and validate database‑related application changes before release
• Identify and resolve performance issues across the full lifecycle, from triage to production validation
• Optimize queries and refactor schemas to support data growth and evolving product needs
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Data Science and Reliability teams
• Contribute to incident management processes and overall system reliability goals
• Maintain documentation, security standards and database best practices for the project’s database environment, which may include MySQL or Oracle and PostgreSQL

• Strong experience with relational databases in high‑traffic, mission‑critical systems
• Deep understanding of backup, recovery and replication concepts
• Proven SQL optimization skills and experience working with high‑load production environments
• Hands‑on experience with schema design and performance tuning
• Good Linux administration skills
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis or MongoDB
• Familiarity with GCP or AWS data services and automation tools such as Ansible, Helm or Terraform
• B2 level of English, both written and spoken
